Seyal Dabal ( “Sindhi” Breakfast )
Bread preparation cooked with spices and tomatoes

Ingredients
- White bread / brown bread slices 6 - 8
- Tomatoes,chopped 2 medium
- Oil 2 tablespoons
- Asafoetida a pinch
- Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon
- Mustard seeds 1/4 teaspoon
- Onion ,chopped 1 medium
- Green chillies 2
- Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
- Coriander powder 2 teaspoons
- Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves,chopped 2 tablespoons
- Lemon 1
Chop tomatoes. Heat oil in a non stick pan, add asafoetida, cumin seeds and mustard seeds. When the seeds splutter add onion and sauté.
Chop green chillies. When onion is lightly coloured, add green chillies and sauté.
Add tomatoes and mix. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder and mix. Continue to sauté for 2-3 minutes.
Chop coriander leaves. Add 1/2 cup water and salt to pan and mix. Let the mixture come to a boil.
Tear bread slices and add and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mix. Squeeze the juice of a lemon and add and mix. Serve hot.
Variation : we can add green chutney of mint and coriander . insead of tomatoes
